#314 - This numbering thing on my posts really gets screwed up a lot -_-

Hello Bloggingsphere! The holidays have arrived over here! Not one but TWO weeks of bliss!!!

One week of actual holidays, and another week of games carnival, which is basically sports the whole week. :D

I'm eating a triple decker peanut butter and nutella sandwich now. Darn, I've really missed blogging :/

You know, I keep messing up the numbers I put on the titles of the beginning of these posts. So to make it clear, this is post #314, ok? :)

Oh yes, best piece of news I got this week, [drum roll]

I got into the dance ensemble for this year's production!!!! :D

So psyched. The production this year is Beauty & The Beast. :)

What's new with me:
-I got a fanfiction.net account. Haven't posted anything up yet because of the 'wait-2-days-rule' the site has. -_- [http://www.fanfiction.net/~smileyashleigh]
-I've just hit tweet 900 on twitter! :D
-I'm working on a YJC review for PJ&O - The Lightning Thief, yes I am aware [looks pointedly at die-hard fans] that this review is very, very late as the 1st book was published in 2005, 28th June but since the movie came out, hardly ANYONE knows that it's based on the book.

That slight oversight however, could bloody well be due to the fact that CHRIS COLUMBUS BUTCHERED, SKEWERED AND DEEP FRIED THE PLOT OF THE BOOK IN AN OIL SO FAR OFF THAT IT SHOULD BE DAMNED TO THE PITS OF TARTARUS ALONG WITH KRONOS AND THE REST OF THE TITANS FOR ETERNITY.

sigh.

As you can see, I am quite the fan of this particular series of books. I can only pray that in the next movie, the plot will somewhat resemble the actual books. The only thing that kept me going through the movie was Logan Lerman [insert girly giggle] and Brandon T. Jackson, who exuded funny-man throughout the entire movie.

I was actually supposed to do a movie review for the movie whereby I would be able to have showcased my bragging rights [with many thanks to Andrea] since I was one of the few to watch the movie first. There, in that very article I would also express how ticked I was at what Chris Columbus did to the plot. Then again, it was a good movie on it's own. [TO A CERTAIN EXTENT]

My piece of advice for whoever has never seen the movie: If you've read the book and you intend to watch the movie because you're a fan, [like moi] brace yourself for tsunami-sized [worthy of Poseidon] disappointment. However, if you are so ignorant that you have never even HEARD of the brilliance of this book, go ahead and watch the movie BUT DON'T READ THE BOOK YET.

Well, I would say that its a sufficient update for me [yes, it may be more of a rant rather than an actual update. Take it or leave it]
