Despite that, I owe you, dear readers a proper update! Woot!
So yesterday was one of the best/luckiest days I've had in a long time. Ironically, the date was the 13th but who's believe in all that superstitious mumbo-jumbo anyway? [averts gaze]
Anyhoo,
Yesterday, after the invigilators so nicely kept us in suspense just before announcing the end of the final paper, we were all asked to pack up and go to the field. Everyone else was having their finals [suckeeers] so we weren't supposed to [more like weren't allowed to] jump/scream for joy after coming out of the hall. The teachers lined us up one the ledge of the drain [when I told my dad this, he proceeded to say, "And they shot you down!!!" :P] and told us to scream, jump and run to the end of the field. At first, I was really psyched for it despite the hot sun grilling us alive and the fact that we were in full uniform. As soon as Mr. K gave the cue, I saw everyone run. I took about 15 steps and slowed down. Laura who was beside me did the same. [The smart girl was still wearing her jacket :P] We gave each other a look that said, "Why the hell are we running in the scorching sun?" So we stopped and watched the dolts we call our fellow form mates run all the way to the end of the field and back. Smiles playing along our lips.
Heh. Mithrra lost her shoe while running. Just needed to say that. :)
Andrea later realized that she forgot her slippers and made it clear that she would not be caught dead doing an Aishah in One U. [Wearing her school shoes with casual clothes to a public place. Like a mall] We waited half and hour for her sister, squashed in my Harrier cause the Alphard was in the shop. Although, the results were worth it. We all snickered from my car as we saw a silent movie [with colour!] of Andrea's sister scolding her [her sister was very tired and kinda hungover] and Andrea apologizing humbly. Hehe... Met Shu Anne's Other half. [or Andrea's surnamesake]
I have learnt that Other half and Andrea should not be placed within a 10 mile radius of each other. Especially if Andrea is in possession of items that can be thrown at people's heads. For example, wallets. Ate lunch at Sushi Zenmai. Other half prolly thinks I'm obsessed with the sushi belt thing where all the sushi is on.
In my defense, it was not my fault that I
(i) Was hungry
(ii) Was craving the sushi that was not on the menu because it was usually on the sushi belt
(iii) Liked taking things off it cause it looked like I was disrupting the flow of something
Aishah, Andrea and I watched the local movie, Papadom. Predictable as it may have been, it was enjoyable. Ally & Danny Boy ran into Mit & Co. at The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee. Shu Anne, Other half, Mel and Helena watched The Perfect Getaway which Other half described as misleading and boring.
Now readers, I am about to tell you something that may leave you completely unaffected [like Aishah] or may emotionally wreck you and your world may be rocked to its core [like Andrea]
Before the movie,
Something very very bad happened. Andrea would understand the pain & shock [more surprise for me but I want this to sound dramatic] I went through when I saw It. It happened like this. Andrea and I made a dash to our last stop before the movies leaving Aishah in our dust, panicking at what she was going to have to put up with in the cinema. Little did she know, she would be saved by the thing that gave us [mainly Andrea who was on the verge of hysteria] a heart attack. Racing down the escalators, we passed by the few familiar shops we had to pass by to get to It. I slowed my pace when I realized that the area around It was not bustling with people like it normally does. Andrea was still on Cloud 9, as she hadn't had It in a long time. Realization struck me like a speeding bullet. There were green panels on all the openings of It and cheesy ads about refurbishing and renewing. I stopped Andrea, who gave me this weird look. The kinda look that said, "What the hell? We're almost there!!!" I looked her straight in the face and said, "Andrea, Its closed." I did a double take to make sure I wasn't hallucinating. "What?!?!" She replied. She stared at It for a good minute before going on about how this was a cruel joke and how the fates were against her. She almost went up to It and clawed at It but I steered her away. "Noooo!!!" She kept saying, over and over again. I took my camera out to take a picture.
That's right ladies and gents.
Starbucks was closed.
Haha. I got you all worked up for that one, didn't I? ;) Aishah was dancing all over the place, her face read "YES!YES!YES!YES!"
Anyway, Andrea and I just went to the branch in the old wing instead. She actually broke into a run when she caught a glimpse of the place. I did too and she shoved me. So I shoved her back and she veered of course. The result? I got my coffee first. Which pissed her off.
Hahahahaaahahhahahahahahahahaha :D
After Aishah got her beef burger [HYPOCRITE!!!!] from McD's, she was still hungry but we went to MPH anyway :) Bought Dan Brown's Digital Fortress!! Woot!
When the got back to my place, I had to go for piano class -_- When I got back, all of them were lying in my room, lights off. Some were asleep and some were on their macs. Either way, it was tough getting them downstairs for dinner -_-
Props to Mel, Helena & Myself for cooking the BBQ dinner! Andrea, Ally and Shu Anne just sat there and stuffed themselves -_- Although, Ally wasn't allowed to cook for fear of burning something [or herself]
Anyhoo.
We had s'mores after that!!! Andrea had a hard time keeping her marshmallow on a skewer :P
Went for a night walk around the area. I wish I had my pics :( Me and Mel were riding around on the bikes! I missed that rush of wind through my face :) Oh, and Mel fell off her bike. =.= She didn't hurt herself too bad though. Just a bruise, a scratch or two. I forgot what she did to fall off.
OH! OH! ALLY TRIED TO RIDE A BIKE!!! HAHAHAHAHHAAHHA. She failed though. Her legs were too short. :)
Played monopoly after! I whooped Mel's and Helena's asses man! Woot!Woot! Ally was watching gossip girl. Andrea was reading her new book and Shu Anne was skyping with Other half. We[Me, Ally & Andrea] slept at around 2-ish, which was pretty considering our latest was 5AM.
The rest of the day went by slowly. Had breakfast, followed them to One U. Just cause I could. Had a chat with Ally's mom and teamed up with all of them & bullied Ally >:)
