Romance in a cafe'
"Morning. What can I get you, miss?" a sandy blonde man asked her. She looked up and smiled. "Morning, Gar. I'll have my usual then." she said. She was a regular there and they got many customers because of it. She was tall with shoulder-length dark purple hair and mesmerizing violet eyes. Gar on the other hand, was tall, sandy blonde with amazing forest green eyes. "Sure thing, Raven." He gave her a grin and walked away. Both of them may seem like complete opposites but in truth, Raven liked him. And he liked her. Well, they loved each other. But the other didn't know it....yet... Gar came back with her order and put it down. Then he sat down across her and just simply stared at her.
"I don't look that bad, Gar." Raven looked up from her book.
"When people stare at you, it doesn't mean you don't look good." he said leaning over and tucking a stray hair behind her ear. "Thanks for the compliment then." she said, slightly blushing at the contact. "Is Raven Roth actually blushing?? The world must be coming to an end! It's the Apocalypse!" he stated, pointing at her. "I'm not blushing." the regular scowl came back to her face. "Aww, Gar! You did it again! The only times were Raven come here with a smile you sat something stupid!" the manager, Molly, said accusingly. "Sorry." Gar said sulkily. Just then , Terra Markov came into the cafe. "Morning Terra." Raven said in a voice filled with hatred. "Morning, witch." Terra spat out. "Is that the best you came up with? That's disappointing." "Ladies, please. Calm down. Morning, Terra, Raven. Please take a seat." Gar said smoothly. Terra smiled smugly at Raven as Gar left Raven and led Terra to her seat, personally. "It's okay. I'll be going. Bye." Raven said, picking up her muffin and leaving, but Gar didn't hear her.
"Where's Raven?" he asked when he came back.
"She left. Nice going. Sheesh. Take your love for Terra somewhere else when Raven is here, please. I enjoy that girl's company." Molly said.
"Love for Terra? No way. I only love one person and that's Raven." Gar said with as much sincerity as he could muster. Molly smiled sadly at him, "You've finally admitted that to yourself, but it's too late. Gar, you were too late."
"You know where she was headed?" he asked hopefully.
"Work I suppose. No, wait, she said she wanted to go home for something. I stopped to talk to her when she was leaving. Go to her place." Molly said. "Mind if I take a break? I'm feeling a bit woozy." he said grinning wildly. "Sure. Take the day off. I'll see you tomorrow." Molly said smiling at him. "Thanks." he said then ran out. He headed for Raven's house immediately. He knew the way because once when Raven left something at the cafe, he went to give it to her.
"Raven? You there?" Gar banged on her door.
"Yes, I'm here. Can you please stop banging on the door?!" she growled as she opened the door.
"Oh, yeah. Hey." Gar said while rubbing the back of his neck childishly. "Yes, Garfield? How may I help you? Shouldn't you be at work? I don't think I left anything at the cafe." she said impatiently. Gar couldn't stand it. It was like her lips were calling out to him. He wanted to kiss her so much. He wanted to taste those beautiful lips of hers.
"Yes you did. You left me." he said shortly. Raven raised her eyebrow, "Garfield, I believe I remember telling you I was about to go. Oh wait, you were with Terra. My mistake, you would have never heard." She didn't mean for it to come out so harshly, but she was hurt and she just wanted to be left alone. "I never said I loved Terra, Rae." he said, obviously hurt. "I never said you did. You said that yourself." Suddenly Gar just kissed her, full on the lips. He couldn't bear it anymore. Raven was stiff with shock, but as if it were a natural reaction, she kissed back. The kiss was fiery and passionate, but due to the lack of air, they had to part.
"What was that for? I don't need your pity." Raven spat, "Now please, if you came here just to play around, just go to Terra. She'll be more than willing to love you." and with that she slammed the door. "I wouldn't go to Terra for anything." Gar said , trying to open the door. After he couldn't stand it anymore, he kicked the door open. Raven was standing infront of the couch about to walk and turn on the tv. She looked at him in surprise but that quickly changed to anger once she saw who it was. "What do you want?" she spat. Gar didn't say anything. He just walked up to her, wrapped him arms around her waist and pulled her down on the couch, with her in his lap. Raven struggled but he was stronger than her. "Please don't fight me," he whispered, huskily into her ear. His voice was so different that Raven became limp in his arms. "I don't love Terra, Raven. I love you. It's not pity. It's truth. So Raven Roth, please go out with me? Raven Roth, please, be my girlfriend. Raven Roth, please, be mine." he said to her. He was close so close to her it made the hairs at the back of her neck stand up. She shivered as he kissed her neck a few times. "How do you expect me to believe you? When all you do is flirt around with Terra. Did you ever care about me?" Raven said, unable to struggle. "Of course I dod. I do. Please believe me. I never did like Terra. Well once, yes, but that's the past. Then i realized my mistake." He said. "What does this have to do with me? Can you let me go?!" she was squirming again. "No, Not until you tell me how you really feel about me?" Raven stopped squirming and looked at him, "Is that all you want to know? How I feel about you?" He nodded. "Well, that's quite simple, I-I love you. Now please let me go and leave."
"Still not going. I love you, you know, I do. Please believe me." he said sincerely. Raven looked at him, not believing. Gar sighed, "You leave me no choice, thought I don't mind." For the second time that day, he kissed her. This time, with tongue -I'm not going in detail- and Raven didn't fight. At first she did but she soon melted into the kiss. "Believe me now?" Gar said after they parted, he felt as if he was shocked with an electric wire. "Maybe." she said with a smile. She laughed at the sight of his face. He looked so shocked. "I'm just kidding. Yes, I believe." she said again. His, shocked face turned into a smile. "Awesome." "Come on, I need some good coffee." she said grabbing her bag. "I know just the place." he smile
